WayAround Starter Pack

The WayAround Starter Pack provides a variety of WayTags for you to explore and determine your preferences. This pack includes 60 WayTags in different formats like stickers, magnets, buttons, and clips. Please note that square WayTags are suitable for use on metal objects, while round ones are not compatible with metal surfaces.

The Starter Pack consists of the following:

WayAround Product Tagging:

The WayAround product line combines a smartphone app with physical WayTags, enabling you to label and tag nearly everything in your environment. Download the free app for either iPhone or Android onto your smartphone. Attach one of the various-shaped tags to clothing, food items, files, medicines, and more. In the WayAround app, create a label for the tag by typing or recording a message. You can also include additional details such as washing instructions or purchase and expiration dates. To identify items in the future, simply scan your smartphone over the tagged item, and the relevant information will appear on your phone. WayAround seamlessly integrates with the accessibility settings on your phone. To have the information read aloud, activate VoiceOver or TalkBack.

WayTags:

WayTags are available as stickers, magnets, buttons, and clips. Some are washable, while others are freezer-friendly. All tags are approximately the size of a quarter. Special tags are required for metal objects. Square tags should be used on any product containing metal, such as food cans or metal cabinets. Some tags can be attached to unconventional items like bottles or cartons using clips, safety pins, or rubber bands. WayTags are reusable and can be edited by changing the information in the app and retagging an item. You can also move a tag to a different object and completely update the information. Tags can be purchased individually in packages of 25 tags per shape, or you can opt for starter packs tailored to various applications.

WayLink:

WayAround utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) and is compatible with most smart devices. Check your own smart device's compatibility using the provided link. Please note that iPhones older than the 7 model lack NFC capability. If your device doesn't support NFC, you can still use WayAround by using the optional WayLink scanner. The WayLink scanner is compact, about the size of a credit card and half an inch thick, and connects to your personal phone via Bluetooth. It functions as the NFC reader, scanning tags and transmitting information to your phone, where it appears in the WayAround app. WayLink is particularly useful for faster, continuous scanning without needing to interact with your phone directly, making it ideal for hands-free use in various situations.

Applications and Different Tags:

WayAround offers countless applications. Use square, on-metal tags to label metal cans in your pantry (since metal interferes with NFC technology, special tags are necessary). Attach clip tags with rubber bands or hairbands to bottles and vials in your bathroom. Sew two-hole buttons into clothing hems, and they can withstand machine washing. For easier identification, sew the buttons in the same spot on your clothes. These buttons, whether with two holes or one long oval hole, can also endure extreme temperatures and be used in the freezer. Some people even use waterproof buttons to label plants and gardens, providing information about species, fertilizer, and watering instructions. It's a fun and versatile tool!
